While I agree we do need to know what are children are doing, I think a beettr approach to kids and technology is to treat technology as a part of life as a whole and not just entertainment. This is where things are lacking. Adults are still looking at technology for kids as a way for them to kill some times after the important things have been done, a privilege to be taken away, and even though we may look for educational games, we still treat it as a game.Yes, we can still have fun with technology but it needs to be intertwined into their daily lives as part of living. We need to educate ourselves and our children on using technology to its fullest capabilities, to understand what safety measures need to be taken, to know how to take care of maintenance on technology, etc.
